Third Asia-Pacific Corpus Linguistics Conference
2016年10月22日-23日，由亚太语料库语言学协会（The Asia Pacific Corpus Linguistics Association）和中国英汉语比较研究会语料库语言学专业委员会联合主办，北京航空航天大学外国语学院承办的第三届亚太语料库语言学大会（The 3rd Asia Pacific Corpus Linguistics Conference，APCLC2016）在北京航空航天大学召开。来自英国、美国、澳大利亚、等14个国家和地区的共250余位学者参加此次会议。
本次大会邀请到英国伯明翰大学的Susan Hunston教授、英国兰卡斯特大学的Tony McEnery教授、美国佐治亚州立大学的Ute Römer博士、澳大利亚悉尼大学的Monika Bednarek博士，以及北京外国语大学梁茂成教授，分别作了主旨发言。
10月21日，大会正会开始前，英国兰卡斯特大学的Tony McEnery教授团队及新西兰奥克兰大学的Michael Barlow教授，举办了面向青年学者的语料库技术工作坊。
大会设7个分会场进行分组研讨。与会者围绕：1）语料库研究中的新技术与新方法；2）语料库研究中的交叉研究；3）语料库与跨语言研究；4）语料库与话语分析；5）语料库与语言习得和教学；6）语料库与翻译研究等主题进行探讨。会议另专设“信息检索及语义计算”、“基于语料库的翻译研究”、“语料库语言学在韩国”、“基于语料库的中国古典文学翻译研究”、“语料库教学研究新进展”等专题研讨会。
亚太语料库语言学大会自2012年起，每两年举办一次。前两届会议分别由新西兰奥克兰大学和中国香港香港理工大学承办。此届会议首次由中国大陆举办，充分体现了国内外同行对我国语料库语言学研究的认可。本次会议为国内外研究人员搭建了高水平学术交流平台，展示了语料库语言学研究的最新动态，推动了语料库语言学诸多研究领域的进一步发展。
The 3rd Asia Pacific Corpus Linguistics Conference (APCLC2016), jointly hosted by the Asia Pacific Corpus Linguistics Association and the Corpus Linguistics Society of China, and organized by the School of Foreign Languages at Beihang University, was held at Beihang University on October 22–23, 2016. More than 250 scholars from 14 countries and regions attended the conference.
The conference invited Professor Susan Hunston of the University of Birmingham (UK), Professor Tony McEnery of Lancaster University (UK), Dr. Ute Römer of Georgia State University (USA), Dr. Monika Bednarek of the University of Sydney (Australia), and Professor Liang Maocheng of Beijing Foreign Studies University to each deliver keynote speeches.
On October 21, before the official opening of the conference, Professor Tony McEnery's team from Lancaster University and Professor Michael Barlow from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, held a corpus technology workshop aimed at young scholars.
The conference featured 7 parallel sessions for group discussions. Participants explored topics including: 1) new technologies and methods in corpus research; 2) interdisciplinary corpus research; 3) corpora and cross-linguistic research; 4) corpora and discourse analysis; 5) corpora and language acquisition and teaching; and 6) corpora and translation studies. The conference also included special panels on "Information Retrieval and Semantic Computing," "Corpus-Based Translation Studies," "Corpus Linguistics in Korea," "Corpus-Based Research on Translations of Chinese Classical Literature," and "New Developments in Corpus-Based Teaching Research."
The Asia Pacific Corpus Linguistics Conference has been held every two years since 2012. The previous two conferences were hosted by the University of Auckland, New Zealand, and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, respectively. This was the first time the conference was held in Chinese mainland.
