[CLIC2018][华中科大]第四届中国语料库语言学大会The Fourth Corpus Linguistics in China Conference

201861日至3日,由中国英汉语比较研究会语料库语言学专业委员会主办、华中科技大学外国语学院承办的第四届中国语料库语言学大会在湖北武汉成功举行。来自国内外高校和科研机构的专家学者齐聚江城,共同探讨语料库语言学领域的前沿问题与最新成果。

大会期间,多位国内外知名学者作主旨发言。62日上午,Michaela Mahlberg教授以“Pushing the Boundaries of Corpus Linguistics by Studying Fiction”为题,探讨了小说研究如何推动语料库语言学的发展;刘泽权教授围绕《源氏物语》六种中文译本展开语料库比较研究;卫乃兴教授则以道歉言语行为为例,展示了基于语料库的局部语法研究方法。

63日,Mark Davies教授介绍了面向学习者的140亿词网络语料库 iWeb;姜峰教授从学科写作视角分析了名词结构与学术互动功能;梁茂成教授则分享了关于“Distributional Hypothesis Calibrated”的最新研究成果。

除主旨报告外,大会还设置了多场分组讨论,与会代表围绕语料库翻译研究、学术英语、话语分析、语言教学与自然语言处理等议题展开深入交流。会议现场学术氛围浓厚,讨论热烈,充分展现了中国语料库语言学研究的蓬勃发展态势。

闭幕式上,与会专家对大会的组织工作和学术成果给予高度评价。此次大会不仅加强了国内外学者之间的交流合作,也为推动中国语料库语言学研究的创新发展提供了重要平台。

The 4th China Corpus Linguistics Conference Successfully Concludes in Wuhan

From June 1 to 3, 2018, the 4th China Corpus Linguistics Conference was successfully held in Wuhan, China. The conference was organized by the Corpus Linguistics Society of China, hosted by the School of Foreign Languages at Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

During the conference, several distinguished scholars delivered keynote speeches. On June 2, Professor Mahlberg Michaela presented a keynote entitled "Pushing the Boundaries of Corpus Linguistics by Studying Fiction," exploring how fiction studies contribute to the advancement of corpus linguistics. Professor Zequan Liu conducted a corpus-based comparison of six Chinese translations of The Tale of Genji, while Professor Naixing Wei introduced a corpus-driven investigation into apology expressions through the framework of local grammar.

On June 3, Professor Davies Mark introduced the iWeb corpus, a learner-oriented web corpus containing 14 billion words. Professor Feng Jiang discussed the structure and function of nouns in disciplinary writing and academic interaction, and Professor Maocheng Liang shared his latest research on "Distributional Hypothesis Calibrated."

In addition to keynote speeches, the conference featured a series of concurrent sessions covering corpus-based translation studies, academic English, discourse analysis, language teaching, and natural language processing.
