2024年11月23日至24日，由中国英汉语比较研究会语料库语言学专业委员会主办，长春师范大学科研处、外国语学院、吉林省人文社科重点研究基地“英美语言文学研究中心”承办的“语料库语言学与应用语言学研究前沿专题研讨会”在长春师范大学新图书馆报告厅举行。学校副校长陈爱梅，中国语料库语言学研究会名誉主任委员卫乃兴，吉林省高等学校英语类专业教学指导委员会主任委员、东北师范大学外国语学院院长周桂君出席开幕式并致辞。

卫乃兴在开幕致辞中指出，本次会议聚焦语料库研究前沿问题，希望与会专家广泛交流、共同推动中国学界在语料库语言学和应用语言学领域的研究水平，产出更多具有学术影响力的成果，提升我国外语学科在世界的学术话语权。

中国英汉语比较研究会语料库语言学专业委员会主任委员、北京航空航天大学外国语学院院长梁茂成在闭幕式致辞中指出，本次会议内容丰富，对于很多学界前沿问题进行了充分的交流探讨，为语料库语言学与应用语言学的研究和发展作出了贡献。

北京航空航天大学卫乃兴教授和梁茂成教授、大连外国语大学邓耀臣教授、上海交通大学甄凤超教授、四川外国语大学苏杭教授、吉林大学姜峰教授、长春师范大学邹艳丽教授、伯明翰大学Susan Hunston教授以及考文垂大学Hilary Nesi教授等国内外知名学者作主旨发言。在青年论坛中，来自英国利兹大学、北京大学、复旦大学等国内外高校90余名青年学者分9个分论坛进行交流。

本次会议共吸引了来自全国各地的300多名学者参会。

From November 23 to 24, 2024, the "Symposium on Frontiers in Corpus Linguistics and Applied Linguistics Research" was held in the lecture hall of the new library at Changchun Normal University. The symposium was hosted by the Corpus Linguistics Society of China, and organized by the Research Office, the School of Foreign Languages, and the Jilin Provincial Key Research Base for Humanities and Social Sciences, "Center for British and American Language and Literature Studies," of Changchun Normal University. 

Aimei Chen, Vice President of the university; Naixing Wei, Honorary Chair of the Corpus Linguistics Society of China; and Guijun Zhou, Chair of the Jilin Provincial Teaching Steering Committee for English Majors in Higher Education and Dean of the School of Foreign Languages at Northeast Normal University, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

In his opening remarks, Naixing Wei noted that the conference focused on frontier issues in corpus research. He expressed the hope that participating experts would engage in exchanges, jointly promote the research standards of Chinese academia in the fields of corpus linguistics and applied linguistics, produce more influential outcomes, and enhance the international visibility of China's foreign language disciplines.Maocheng Liang, president of the Corpus Linguistics Society of China and Dean of the School of Foreign Languages at Beihang University, stated in his closing remarks that the conference featured rich and diverse content and facilitated in-depth exchanges and discussions on many cutting-edge issues in the field, thereby contributing to the research and development of corpus linguistics and applied linguistics.

Renowned scholars from China and abroad delivered keynote speeches, including Professor Naixing Wei and Professor Maocheng Liang of Beihang University, Professor Yaochen Deng of Dalian University of Foreign Languages, Professor Fengchao Zhen of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Professor Hang Su of Sichuan International Studies University, Professor Feng Jiang of Jilin University, Professor Yanli Zou of Changchun Normal University, Professor Susan Hunston of the University of Birmingham, and Professor Hilary Nesi of Coventry University. In the Young Scholars Forum, more than 90 young scholars from universities in China and abroad, including the University of Leeds, Peking University, and Fudan University, participated in exchanges across nine parallel sub-forums.The conference attracted more than 300 scholars from across China.
