From June 28 to 30, 2012, Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) hosted the Corpus Technologies and Applied Linguistics International Conference. The event was jointly organized by the Corpus Linguistics Society of China alongside colleagues from XJTLU's Language Centre and the Department of English, Culture and Communication, bringing together more than 120 researchers from around the world.

The proceedings volume, edited by Bin Zou, Simon Smith and Michael Hoey is published under the title: Corpus Linguistics in Chinese contexts.
